Frequently Asked Questions

How many counselling sessions will I have?

It is completely your choice how many sessions you have.

When the problem, issue or concern that you came to counselling with has been resolved, your wellbeing has improved, and you no longer feel that you need support, is usually the time when clients do not need to book another appointment.

How much time will be spent on my case work?

This depends upon what the case work is to be performed.

A referral or non-complex letter can take 15 minutes plus the initial conversation with you about the case work you would like me to perform (approximately 15 minutes).

If you requested that I attend an appointment with you, it would be the length of time that the appointment goes for, or the amount of time you want me to attend for, plus our initial conversation about the case work you would like completed.

How much is a counselling session?

Counselling sessions are $210 for 60 minutes.

How much is case work?

Case work is $52.50 per 15 minutes.

When do I pay?

Payment is accepted on the day of your appointment, either at the end of your counselling session or at the end of case work conducted.

Some people prefer to pay beforehand, which is also accepted.

If you are provided with an invoice, it is due payable within 7 days.

How do I pay?

There are a range of payment options for you to choose from, including Eftpos, Paypal, bank transfer and cash.

Do I need to do anything before my appointment?

No, you do not need to prepare or bring anything with you. At the beginning of your appointment we will talk about what has brought you to counselling, or to a case work appointment. You do not need to fill out any paperwork before your appointment.

Do you see NDIS clients?

Yes. I see plan-managed and self-managed NDIS clients.

Do you provide referrals?

Yes. When alternative expertise is required, I refer clients to doctors, legal practitioners, paediatricians and other health professionals, as well as social support services, as needed, whilst continuing counselling support.
